U.S. Army Engineer School Terrain Visualization Center The United States Army Engineer School Terrain Visualization Center serves to coordinate and integrate the Engineer Regiment?s Geospatial Combat Development, Training Development and Doctrine Development. The Terrain Visualization Center also provides world-class GIS lab support to Combat Development, Training Development, Doctrine Development and Current Operations.

Missouri's Fort Leonard Wood Region Missouri?s Fort Leonard Wood Region is a not-for-profit association that promotes economic and community development in the Fort Leonard Wood Region. The region extends along the I-44 Technology Corridor from Lebanon to Rolla/St. James. It includes the counties of Laclede, Pulaski and Phelps. Its membership includes cities, counties, school districts, utility companies, businesses and other associations. Fort Leonard Wood, University of Missouri Rolla, United States Geological Survey, the regional planning councils and the Missouri Department of Economic Development also participate. The association is working to enable the region to be a national center for research, education, technology transfer, and advanced manufacturing

Lincoln University Lincoln University is an 1890 land-grant, comprehensive institution which is part of the Missouri state system of higher education. Founded in 1866 through the cooperative efforts of the enlisted men and officers of the 62nd and 65th Colored Infantries, Lincoln University was designed to meet the educational and social needs of freed African-Americans. While remaining committed to this purpose, the University has expanded its historic mission to embrace the needs of a significantly broader population reflecting varied social, economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds. This is the unique purpose that Lincoln University fulfills in higher education.

University of Missouri-Rolla The University' of Missouri-Rolla is located 30 miles east of Fort Leonard Wood and is considered ?Missouri?s Technological University?. It has 5500 students and a very broad array of academic disciplines many which dovetail well with the military missions at Fort Leonard Wood. UMR has a growing research portfolio with 23 research centers and national recognition in transportation infrastructure, materials, environmental, manufacturing and energy research. UMR's Office of Sponsored Programs administers the research mission of UMR.

FLW-LWI Memorandum of Understanding Representatives of LWI joined Major General Randal Castro, Commanding General of MANSCEN and Fort Leonard Wood on 6-26-2006 at MANSCEN Headquarters to sign an historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will govern the cooperative relationship between the Army installation and LWI. The MOU defines how the Army, LWI and its partners will cooperate in research, experimentation, technology exploration, product development, and instructional support related to Fort Leonard Wood?s unique chemical defense, military engineering and military police missions.
