Disaster Preparedness and Response Workshop

The " Disaster Preparedness and Response Workshop for the Private Sector", which was held at Fort Leonard Wood, Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Audie Murphy Community Club produced a set of presentations that should be of benefit to private businesses in the FLW region.
 
The workshop was designed for company and organization leaders who were interested in knowing how their companies can be better prepared for disasters and better integrated into their communities’ total response efforts. The workshop included presentations by state Public Safety leaders on threats and state and regional planning exercises. The State Director of Business Executives for National Security discussed opportunities for companies and organizations to participate in community, regional and state disaster planning and recovery efforts.
 
Workshop Partners included: Associated Industries of Missouri; Business Executives for National Security (BENS);Leonard Wood Institute; Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC);Missouri Enterprise; Phelps County Bank; Society of American Military Engineers (SAME); US Geological Survey - Rolla; University of Missouri Rolla; and Waynesville/St. Robert Chamber of Commerce.
